Discover the beautiful countryside and rugged scenery of Marsden Moor. With more than 5000 acres of moorland to explore, there is always something new to see.Explore a landscape steeped in history, from prehistoric man to historic trans-Pennine transport routes. Whilst you are out and about you may spot some of the moorland plants and birds that make this area internationally important.Whether you prefer to explore the landscape on foot, by bike or through the lens of a camera there are plenty of things to see and do.

New Year's Day walk, 1st January 2020, 11:00 to 14:00
Bring in the New Year with a breath of fresh air as we celebrate the first day of 2020 with an invigorating moorland walk. Rated easy.


Guided walk - feeding the canal, 29th February 2020, 9:30 to 14:30
You’ll see the reservoirs and explore the catchwaters that feed into the Huddersfield Narrow Canal on this 10 mile hard walk.


Guided walk - dry stone wall trail, 29th March 2020, 14:30 to 17:30
Take a pleasant 3 mile stroll along the walled lanes and fields to find out how the dry stone walls were built and why.
